CARSA is an "Innovation in Technology" Consultancy company that is composed of a team of industrial engineers, telecommunications engineers and computer engineers, specialised in technology management at all levels, enabling CARSA to provde fully integrated and complementary consultancy services. CARSA, formed in 1987, has offices in Bilbao, Madrid, Barcelona, Tenerife, Vitoria and Brussels. CARSA is also a member of the INNOVALIA Group, which is a leading Basque Industrial Group.

Since 1987, CARSA has been developing its business activities, regarding services to entreprises and public bodies, with three main axis: innovation, technology and internationalisation. The imperious necessity to extend the depth of each of these enterpreneurial axis requires an important dedication by CARSA's management. CARSA has been characterised in the past years by the intensive work developed in the Co-ordination of several technology implementation projects addressed to the introduction of advanced technologies into adverse environments (less developed regions in EU). These projects have followed the methodology developed and tested in ESPRIT project DonQ -CIM and IMPLACE project (Art 10 of FEDER).

CARSA is the overall coordinator of the REDEST project as well as the Local Support Coordinator for the Best Practice Experiments in Spain. CARSA has a proven track record in the coordination of EC funded projects, and has participated in several projects related to take-up actions, such as Q-SHOP, DONQ-SPI, DonQ-CIM, VIRTUALQ, Q-SHOP-IN-PLACE, BEP-IiM, IMPLACE and on the running MEDIAT-SME and PROTELEUSES. CARSA is one of the key partners to ensure further and successful exploitation of the project results. Participation in Software Process Improvement experiments, such as those in DonQ-SPI, provide background knowledge about the technical, organisational and business issues involved.
