Description
of Past Experience in Software Engineering: OAS has long term experience in
development of the embedded software. However, the software development process
was rather informal. In the last few years efforts were dedicated to the improvements
of SE practice. Specifically the design and implementation sectors were improved,
by applying structured approaches and modelling tools. The testing phase is
still insufficiently defined, but the main problem, as explained above, represent
unstructured requirements gathering sector, both for the development of new
systems and for the customisation of the products. Therefore, the improvements
of this life cycle sector is of major importance for the further improvements
of the SE practice in OAS.
